I have studied and practiced traditional mind-training and Meditation in two Buddhist lineages since early 2002. After having spent 7 years in a Tibetan Buddhist monastery, I met Adam Mizner in Thailand. Soon after I started learning from him. Now I can honestly say that this was one of the most important encounters of my life.
So far I have met very few teachers, who are able to communicate subtle points of the path with such clarity and coherence. To me this shows that someone speaks or acts from direct experience. I often noticed that Adam’s presence and his teachings have an impact that guide his dedicated students into a wholesome direction naturally. His ability to transmit the various stages of the meditative process, both verbally and mentally, is remarkable.
What I specifically like, is his No-BS approach to authentic spiritual practice. Adam is a doer, not a philosopher. When he talks, it comes from extensive experience and points directly to the end of stress. In a world where there’s much empty talk, I find this very refreshing! It is said that some of the key characteristics of a qualified spiritual guide are proper conduct, integrity, honesty, patience, equanimity, kindness and - most importantly - realization of truth. Adam is consistently expressing the presence of these qualities at a very high level. Those who wholeheartedly wish to experience authentic spiritual practice will certainly find a reliable and highly accomplished guide in Adam.
